A Brief Introduction of “Yidam”5

In addition, Tibetan Buddhism has its own explanation for gods and ghosts. For example, the venerable Longchenpa (Nondirty Light) said in Dharma Kingdom Treasure Explanation that the nadi in human body are counted in the tens of thousands. There are disease nadi, ghost nadi, god nadi, devil nadi and many more. When the opinion and meditation of meditators leave from the middle path, with soul energy wind heart flowing into the devil nadi, they will see devils and correspond with devils; if they flow into ghost nadi or god nadi, they will see ghosts or gods, and correspond with ghosts or gods. These are all illusions one creates for oneself when one’s heart is puzzled.

Also, there are some people who always use specious science to explain Buddhism, which is even more ridiculous. Science is science and religion is religion. Each follows their conditions, and the two should not be mixed. Science emphasises evidential proof, and religion also emphasises evidential proof. The evidence of the two are cars running on two different roads, they don’t take the same path. None can deny the other, and none can replace the other. As for the master who claimed to integrate Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism into one, and speaking utter nonsense, he is an even greater embarrassment

The European religious thinker Otto said, when commenting on Schleiermacher’s On Religion, “What the author wants to show is that humans are not entirely limited to knowledge and action. The relationship between humans and their environments – the world, existence, humanity, and events – was also not entirely limited to the pure awareness of and influence to environments. He attempts to prove that, if a person uses a depth of emotion to experience surrounding world, and if a person was deeply moved due to feeling the eternal nature of the world, so as to excite some kind of emotion, such as sincerity, awe or reverence, then this kind of emotional state has more value than knowledge and action. And this is what cultured people must relearn from scratch.”

Therefore, I would prefer to write this book as a sincere yoga meditator. Disregard whether it is right or wrong, what you see at least are true words flowing out from my soul. What I have to tell you is what only I can say, and that is enough.

Therefore, when you see or hear another type of story different from what you were educated with, when you feel another kind of culture, you must not laugh, but treat it with a heart of respect. At the time, when I entered another circle, this was what I did.
