3. Fruit status brightness. Following guru’s direction, use day night brightness to turn basic original bright dharma nature which own body originally has into Tao function, therefore, the real appearance of innate meaning is to know ultimately. This is fruit status brightness. This is same as stages of dual practice. Later Part Jiabai said, “from brightness arising in front, dual practicing body arises.” This took ultimate brightness as dual practice. As to this classification, his honorable Marpa said, example bright ness is the wisdom of wisdom mother depending on other body. Superior brightness is not distracted from getting phase, they are all wisdom when alaya melting into brightness. Bright nature is overall empty Bodhi vajra of all Buddha. The merits of brightness is to detach all crude and achieve dharma body which is not living in being and silence, because dust of getting phase is completely purified.” The word is good short summary. Therefore, great perfection edifies the body of bright basis, Dao, and fruit status.

Jianggong Guru edified:

The preliminary practice of this dharma is: visualize the transience of human life, the pain and danger of samsara, and no errors of karma and results, which is the common preliminary practice dharma. Eating essential (nutritious) foods; solemn upright authoritive manner, gentle cultured behaviour etc should not be overlooked.

Regularly hold Communal Offering to guru, Yidam, dakini and protectors, offer Tuoma Food to protector gods, all kind ghost gods and non-heaven, and recite protector sutra frequently.

The key to whether pure light achievement is attained or not is constant respectful faith to guru. Thus pure faith should be often meditated, guru yoga should be seen as the life nadi of dharma meditation, and earnest prayers should always be made to guru.

Above is the preliminary practice of bright meditation dharma and the basic requirements for the formal meditation of bright dharma.

Generally there are four kinds of meditation methods in formal meditation: holding brightness dharma, dharma of turning into function of Dao, combining dharma and ultimate brightness dharma. Take holding brightness dharma as an example. Because yogi meditates this dharma after perfecting the meditation of mystic heat, the four happiness and four emptiness will be much more deep and wide when meditating this dharma. Co-living happiness and all emptiness are spread throughout the body, heart and objects, reaching the perfect status of undivided joy and emptiness. This status can induce the self nature leaving drama brightness. This brightness has no obsession and no Yuan, like emptiness, ending all language and thought, and is also called pure brightness or superior meaning brightness. As soon as this brightness appears, it is able to sit peacefully. This bright status is also called the bright great seal. The meditation method is omitted.

The later practice of this dharma is: meditate self empowerment, keep pure discipline, offer Communal Offering to the Three Roots, offer Duoma to Mahakala  and the five sections of dakini, and offer gratitude offering to guru, Yidam, dakini, protectors, and all Buddha and holy assembly, burn the four career Humo (i.e. the Firing Offering of Extinguish, Increase, Placate and Perish) etc.

Many statuses will appear when meditating this bright great dharma. There are detailed descriptions in Niguma Vajra Hymn and Khyongpo Secret Meaning. Here we do not talk about these. However, no matter which status shows up, they must be confirmed ultimately by guru who transmitted the dharma. It must not be assumed that one is right, and thus hinder meditation.

The signs of successful meditation of this dharma are: feeling that one’s own body is light as air, like the body is not present any more; in daily life (when not in visualization) there are also the feeling of the body being full of white light; the heart is often like the first appearing of the morning sun.
