Writer Xue Mo's First Germany Version of "Desert Rites" Come Out

Recently, the German version of Chinese well-known writer Xuemo's classic work, Desert Rites, have been published globally by the well-known Bacopa Verlag Publishing Company from Europe, which marks a representative result of the publication project of the German version of writer Xue Mo's"Desert Triology".

Desert Rites is Chinese writer Xuemo's classic novel which took him twelve years to finish through his painstaking effort. It vividly depicts the rural life of boarder countrysides near the desert of western China, and faithfully records the farmers' harsh living conditions near the Tengger Desert of China's western regions. Since its first Chinese edition came out in 2000, the book has reprinted for five times, and continually receives great popularity at home ad abroad. The publication of its Germany version is attributed to the related publication project sponsored by Beijingg Ruxue media company.

The translators of the book is well-known Germany sinologist Hans-Peter Kolb, who has studied under Germany prominent translator and sinologist Mr. Wolfgang Kubin. At present, he is translating Desert Hunters into German, which is the second piece of "Desert Triology".
