Illusory body greed anger self-dissolving（1）

“Illusory body greed anger self-dissolving” is the 2nd part of the Root Six Dharma of Niguma of Perfection Stage of the “Five Golden Dharma of Niguma”.

There are many classifications of the “illusory body”: 1) the metaphoric illusory body, as Sutra Splendid Explanation states “many magicians changing colour…” etc. This body is originally non-existent, but can display a pseudo-illusory body with drugs etc; 2) the present part illusory body, Middle View Root Wisdom Explanation states “like the dream state, like illusions…” etc, i.e. all dharma are like dreams and illusion, not real. 3) the dream state illusory body, as Explanation of Amount Discussion states “this body is subtle, not meeting obstruction anywhere…”. This body is made by habit Qi, made by the dream body’s subtle wind heart; 4) Bardo illusory body, as All Giving-up Explanation states “all roots complete, all actions unobstructed…” The bardo body formed by the mind, all roots perfect, moving without obstruction; 5) Bright Illusory body: the empty appearance materialised by meditating the perfection stage, like round light. Dakini Sea states “yoga in tantra king, call it ritual, bright illusory, explain it as the world.” 6) Changing Illusory Body: mandala transformed by firm concentration strength attained from completing the meditation of both the creation and perfection stages; 7) wisdom illusory body: the unlimited splendid round wheel of the three tantra of all Buddha. As Sutra Splendid Explanation states “Buddha is the illusory body manifested by Buddha wisdom.” And so on.

In addition, the illusory body has three classifications:

1) non-clean illusory body. Often contained in the Prajna Paramita Sutra and many tantra sections, referring to things moving, quiet, seen and touched in the three realms, though appearing, are illusory and without self nature, therefore, they are called the nonclean illusory body. Six Dharma Golden Liquid Explanation states “First visualize that all outward appearances are equal to the 8 illusory analogies, all colour equal to appearances before the confused heart, outside things do not exist but are like dreams and illusions; what arises from Yuan is like the image of echoes; transience is like dew and water bubbles; appearing without self nature is like sun flame and rainbows. Because of this kind of habituated study, discrimination pending on appearance can be eliminated.” The three realm sentient world, all things within and without, all life, death and nirvana, have no true substance though they show up, like dreams and illusions. Vajra Dakini Step Initial Part states “all living beings in three realms without exception are like illusions, all living beings moving or quiet all gain nothing, things that can be seen and touched are all like illusions”.
