——尼泊尔加德满都大学孔子学院院长李双成在“雪漠作品读者分享会”致辞

尊敬的各位嘉宾、亲爱的朋友们：

大家下午好！

在这辞旧迎新的美好时刻，我们齐聚尼泊尔加德满都国际展览中心，共同参加“让文学照亮心灵，让文化沟通世界——雪漠作品读者分享会”。我作为加德满都大学孔子学院的院长，深感荣幸能够在此发言，与大家一同探讨雪漠作品的深刻内涵及其广泛的社会影响力，同时也想借此机会向大家介绍一下孔子学院在尼泊尔的发展情况。

Honorable Chief guests of the program and my dear friends,

A very Good afternoon you all!

At this wonderful moment of giving farewell to the old year and ushering in the new one, we have gathered at the Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Halll, Kathmandu ,Nepal to jointly participate in the "Let Literature Illuminate the Soul, Let Culture Connect the World –Reader’s idea sharing Meeting on Xuemo's Works". As the director of the Confucius Institute at Kathmandu University, I feel deeply honored to be able to give a speech here and discuss the profound connotations and extensive social influence of Xuemo's works. Simillarly, I also would like to take this opportunity to introduce to you the development of the Confucius Institute in Nepal.

雪漠先生是一位享誉中外的中国一级作家和文化学者，他的作品不仅在中国国内广受好评，更在国际上产生了深远的影响。今天，我们在这里看到的不仅仅是雪漠作品的独立展位和两大展台，更是中尼文化交流的一座桥梁，是两国人民心灵相通的纽带。雪漠先生的作品以其独特的文学魅力和深刻的哲学思考，让无数读者为之动容，为之倾倒。他的作品不仅让我们领略到了中国文学的博大精深，更让我们感受到了中华文化的独特魅力。

Mr. Xuemo is a world-renowned first-class Chinese writer and cultural scholar. His works have not only been widely praised in China but also have exerted a profound influence on the international stage. Today, what we see here is not just the independent booth and two exhibition stands of Xuemo's works, but also a bridge for cultural exchanges between China and Nepal and a bond that connects the hearts of the two peoples. With his unique literary charm and profound philosophical thinking, Mr. Xuemo's works have deeply touched and fascinated countless readers. His works have enabled us not only to appreciate the extensiveness and profundity of Chinese literature but also to experience the unique charm of Chinese culture.

他的长篇小说《无死的金刚心》与《见信如面》，更是以其精湛的叙事技巧和深邃的思想内涵，成为了中尼文学交流的佳作。这些作品不仅展示了中国文化的博大精深，也为我们尼泊尔读者打开了一扇了解中国、认识中国的窗户。

His novels "The金刚心 without Death" and "Seeing the Letter as Meeting", with their’s exquisite narrative skills and profound ideological connotations, have proved to be an outstanding works in the literary exchanges between China and Nepal. These works have not only demonstrated the breadth and depth of Chinese culture but also opened a window for us Nepalese readers to understand and get to know China.

作为尼泊尔加德满都大学孔子学院的院长，我深知文化交流的重要性。孔子学院作为推广汉语和传播中国文化的重要平台，一直致力于促进中尼两国之间的文化交流与合作。在这里，我们见证了无数中尼学子通过语言学习，加深了对彼此文化的理解和尊重。

As the director of the Confucius Institute at Kathmandu University in Nepal, I am deeply aware of the importance of cultural exchanges. The Confucius Institute, as an important platform for promoting the Chinese language and spreading Chinese culture, has been always committed to facilitating cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and Nepal. Here, we have witnessed that countless number of Chinese and Nepalese students have deepened their understanding and the feeling of respect for each other's cultures through language learning.

早在2019年4月，雪漠先生就在我们孔子学院举行过专题讲座，受到了广大师生们的热烈欢迎和认可。在此期间，雪漠先生也向加德满都大学图书馆捐赠了自己的全套书籍，有中文版，也有英文版，这些作品成为孔子学院学生们学习中文的重要资料，同时也是我们孔子学院在尼泊尔推广中国文化的重要资源之一。

On April 2019, Mr. Xuemo held a special lecture at our Confucius Institute, which was warmly welcomed and recognized by the vast majority of teachers and students. During that period, Mr. Xuemo also donated some set of books which were both in Chinese and English versions to the library of Kathmandu University. These works have become important materials for the students of the Confucius Institute to learn Chinese language and are also one of the important resources for our Confucius Institute to promote Chinese culture in Nepal.

雪漠作品在尼泊尔的传播和接受，是中尼文化交流的一个缩影。近年来，随着中尼两国关系的不断发展，两国之间的文化交流也日益频繁。孔子学院作为推广汉语和传播中国文化的重要平台，在尼泊尔的发展也取得了显著的成果。我们加德满都大学孔子学院自成立以来，一直致力于为尼泊尔人民提供优质的汉语教育和丰富的中国文化体验。通过举办各类文化活动，如书法展、茶艺表演、中国电影周等，吸引了大量尼泊尔民众的热情参与，也让越来越多的尼泊尔人了解了中国，爱上了中国。

The dissemination and acceptance of Xuemo's works in Nepal is also an example of flourishing cultural exchanges between China and Nepal. In recent years, with the continuous development of the relations between China and Nepal, the cultural exchanges between the two countries have become increasingly frequent. As an important platform for promoting the Chinese language and spreading Chinese culture, the Confucius Institute has also achieved remarkable results in its development in Nepal. Since its establishment, our Confucius Institute at Kathmandu University has been committed to providing high-quality Chinese language education and rich Chinese cultural experiences for the Nepalese people. Through holding various cultural activities: such as calligraphy exhibitions, tea culture display and Chinese film weeks, we have attracted a large number of Nepalese people and enabled more and more Nepalese people to understand and fall in love with China and it’s culture.

我们深知，文学是文化交流的重要载体，是心灵沟通的桥梁。今天，我们在这里举行的这场读者分享会，就是对我们过去努力的最好肯定。我相信，通过这次活动，会有更多的尼泊尔朋友被雪漠先生的作品所吸引，被中华文化的魅力所打动。同时，我也希望我们的孔子学院能够继续发挥桥梁和纽带的作用，为中尼文化交流做出更大的贡献。

We deeply understand that literature is an important carrier of cultural exchanges and a bridge for spiritual communication. Today, the reader’s idea sharing meeting being held here is the best affirmation of our past efforts. I believe that through this activity, more Nepalese friends will be familiar to Mr. Xuemo's works and be touched by the charm of Chinese culture. At the same time, I also hope that our Confucius Institute can continue to play the role of a bridge and a bond and make greater contributions to the cultural exchanges between China and Nepal.
