Confidence is the Decisive Factor of Achievement

◎Yixin Chen: Does achievement have a substantial relationship with confidence?

●Xue Mo: Of course. Achievement is closely affiliated with confidence. Without confidence we will achieve nothing. Among belief, wish and behavior, confidence takes the first place. Without confidence, there is no faith, let alone religion.

◎Yixin Chen: What aspects is the confidence to be reflected?

●Xue Mo: I have many definitions for confidence. First, is the firm belief of oneself being the Buddha. The major objective of meditation in the creation stages is to arise the divine pride，believing there is no difference between Yidam and oneself. Second, is firmly believing the Guru is as same as Buddha, which is very important. Only with this faith, can you get the blessing from Buddha. Third, is to have confidence in dharma lineages. You should have no doubt that you will achieve Buddha-fruit eventually, etc. There are some other outlooks of confidence, but the above three points are the most primary ones. If you can't fulfill these requirements, your path of accumulation is not complete.

If you still have binary opposition with Yidam in your heart, it means you have not really entered Anuttara Yoga. The essence of Anuttara Yoga is that the guru and Yidam are identical and it is the same situation between Yidam and myself.

When I frist wrote "Refuge of My Soul ", someone read the draft  and then deleted the words like "dvaya-abhava and no difference". I said that you couldn't delete this word. If I haven’t achieved the realm of "dvaya-abhava and no differentce", I can't be qualified to write this book, let alone known as a real practitioner of Esoteric-yana. If there is still a binary opposition between Yidam and me, all my practices in pursuing Buddhism are meaningless, needless to talk about Mahamudra.

All your meditation and practices are used to build confidence in Guru and yourself. Only when you are armored with thorough confidence, can you get the enlightened blessing from Guru and enter into Mahamudra

◎陈亦新：成就跟信心有很大关系吧？

●雪漠：当然。成就跟信心的关系最大，没有信心就没有成就。信、愿、行三者中，信心是第一位的。没有信心，就没有信仰，也就没有宗教。

◎陈亦新：信心主要体现在啥地方？

●雪漠：我理解的信心有多种，一是坚信自己就是佛，修生起次第的主要目的就是为了生起佛慢，坚信自己和本尊无二无别；二是坚信上师与佛无二无别，这一点是非常重要的，只有坚信上师是佛，你才能得到佛的加持；三是对法脉有信心，坚信依此法修持，必证佛果，等等。尚有多种信心，但最主要的，是这三点。当你做不到这三点时，你的资粮道就没有修圆满。

要是你的心中仍然跟本尊处于二元对立时，那你就没有真正契入无上部瑜伽。无上瑜伽的精髓就是：上师与本尊无二无别，我与本尊无二无别。

当初我写《我的灵魂依怙》时，有人先看草稿，将其中的“无二无别”都删了。我说你不能删，要是我还没有达到“无二无别”的证境时，我是没资格写这本书的，也算不上真正的密乘行者。要是我跟本尊仍处于二元对立时，我的所有修行都没有了意义，还谈何大手印？

你的所有修，就是在修对上师和对自己的信心，当你俱足信心时，才能得到上师的证量加持，才能契入大手印。
