Dream That Go Toward The Edge of Sky

There are similar opinions in Buddha Son Behavior Thirty-Seven Psalm, praising:

“Greedily love loving side like wather boiling, hate enemy side like fire burning,

Delusion getting and giving up like dark, leaving hometown is the behaviour of Buddha sons.”

Actually, no matter dharma within the world or beyond the world, leaving hometown mostly is the first condition for success. I never see people who dig in busy and general things become people who have big wisdom. You can open any biography of a great guy, most of them leave hometown when they are young, accepting edification of another culture, and there is few exception. In all cultures, “crossbreed” culture has most strength of life and breaking power. Multiple cultures conflict with each other, develop by getting benefit from each other and using others’ advance to make up own shortcoming, and ultimately form great situation. Certainly, this “culture” refers to big culture. In many masters of dharma within the world in China, most of them went faraway to western world, showing the western civilization. In dharma beyond the world, many go faraway from hometown, with the innate purpose of avoiding greedily loving loving-side, hating enemy-side, tangled by earthling things, affecting the big issue of mediation and achievement. As a matter of fact, no matter meditators or scholars, both of them accept new culture to become big.

No only persons but also religion. Buddhism originating from India is dying out from his native land. Just because Buddhism leaves far away from home, he shines out new strength of live in the confliction and edification with outside cultures, like Han Buddhism, Tibetan Buddhism, South-preached Buddhism, all like that. Therefore, if people want to do great thing, most of them have to leave far away from hometown. Certainly, this leaving faraway is not only leaving far of body but also leaving far of heart.

Before, everytime I went back to hometown, it was easy for me to dip in the laziness of hometown, not thinking of meditation and achievement, not wanting to read, not wanting to write, and only wanting to catch some rays, chatting, nothing to do like people in my hometown. Fortunately, when I was very young, I went out the living environment, merging into a relatively bigger world. Even this, after I become a writer, a professor in Lanzhou University still sighed, “it is a miracle that Xuemo comes out from Wuwei.” Later, I understand the meaning. However he do not know that my heart has already left hometown though my body is not far from my hometown.

I love reading, with many book collections. Since getting the dharma due of Shangpa Kagyu, my heart has detached, leaving far from dust, my spirit travelling in Buddhism kingdom, my heart yearning toward big saint today and in ancient time throughout the world, dipping into the wisdom books of human. After long edification, I have today’s situation.

Therefore know: having the idea of greedily loving home, you will become chick lady; having the heart of flying high, you can become big hawk. People who want to do big deed have to go out of their own living environment.
