我们要把自己得到的一切，都看作上天的礼物。当我们明白它们是上天的礼物，如果没有相应的福份，不管再怎么努力，都得不到时，就不会觉得拥有是理所当然的；当我们不再觉得理所当然时，才可能生起敬畏、感恩和珍惜之心。感恩和敬畏，是珍惜的基础。

We should view everything we get as a gift from heaven. If we understand that they are gifts from heaven, when we are not lucky enough and are unable to get them however hard we try, we would not take having them for granted; only when we do not take them for granted can we begin to respect, thank, and cherish them.
